Kankakee School District 111 offers high-quality, holistic early childhood programs designed to support all children, with a particular focus on vulnerable or at-risk students. Our programs include Preschool & Head Start, Preventive Initiative & Early Intervention, and Childcare, creating a seamless birth-to-graduation continuum of support that helps every child build the skills and confidence needed to become a successful student and responsible citizen.

We use research-based curriculum and assessment tools, including Frog Street, DRDP (Desired Results Developmental Profile), and Teaching Strategies Gold, which provide developmentally appropriate experiences and track each child’s growth.
