All About Proegler

Kankakee School District 111 offers high-quality, holistic early childhood programs designed to support all children, with a particular focus on vulnerable or at-risk students. Our programs include Preschool & Head Start, Preventive Initiative & Early Intervention, and Childcare, creating a seamless birth-to-graduation continuum of support that helps every child build the skills and confidence needed to become a successful student and responsible citizen.

Our programs emphasize both academic and social-emotional development, ensuring children are prepared for future learning in a nurturing and engaging environment. We use research-based curriculum and assessment tools, including Frog Street, DRDP (Desired Results Developmental Profile), and Teaching Strategies Gold, which provide developmentally appropriate experiences and track each child’s growth. Through these programs, children explore early literacy, math, science, social skills, and creative expression, building a strong foundation for lifelong learning and success
